Mexican Retablo "La Mano Poderosa"

This 19th Century Mexican Folk Art Retablo depicts the "All Powerful Hand" along with the young Jesus and four members of his family Mary Joseph, and Mary's parents. There is some speculation on the exact meaning of of the symbols in this not uncommon theme. This piece is painted on tin measuring 10" x 14". The condition is a bit rough. There is considerable paint loss on several patches. However it remains quite colorful and there is wonderful detail in the faces and clothing.
